The word &#8220;nazar&#8221; comes from the Arabic \u0646\u0638\u0631, meaning &#8220;sight&#8221;, &#8220;gaze&#8221;.<\/h3>\n<p>Traditionally, the nazar is a handmade glass ornament consisting of stylized concentric circles or drops in dark blue, white, light blue and black, sometimes with yellow or gold-tone edging.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The talisman is associated with Tengrism and is a legacy from the time of the Ottoman Empire<\/strong>.
