Inanna (also Ninanna; probable etymology \u2013 Lady of the Winds) is the Sumerian goddess of fertility, carnal love, battles and discord, and mistress of the planet Venus.<\/p>\n

Inanna is one of the central figures of the Sumerian pantheon and also entered Akkadian mythology under the name Ishtar. She is among the Sumerian deities associated with the greatest number of myths. Inanna is the patron goddess of the cities of Uruk, Zabalam and Kulaba.
