It is a common amulet or ornament in Turkey, as well as in countries such as Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Greece, Cyprus, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Armenia, Iran, Afghanistan, Iraq and Azerbaijan, where it can be found hanging in homes, offices and cars, on children’s clothing, or as part of jewelry and decorative ornaments.<\/p>\n
